Understanding Acceleration for Gifted and Talented Students - (G&T Online Professional Learning Series)
This module is $65 per person and part of the Gifted and Talented Online Professional Learning Series. It can be completed as a stand-alone module or as part of the series. Acceleration is often misunderstood as just 'grade-skipping' and despite overwhelming evidence of its efficacy, teachers and schools continue to be reluctant to consider this strategy as an option for certain highly able students. This workshop will explore the research behind acceleration, the types of acceleration and key strategies to ensure acceleration is implemented appropriately and effectively for the right students, in order for them to experience a challenging learning environment while at school.
This online module is $65 per person (To register 5 or more people at a discounted rate, please email admin@growingupgreatness.com). After you confirm your purchase, you will receive an email with a link to download information to access the module.
This module is approximately 2 hours in length (including video content, workbook, discussion webinar and additional resources). The webinar for this online module is held approximately once per term at either 9.30am or 3:30 (AWST). Register and sign-in online to see alternate date options. Attendance at the webinar is not compulsory and you can complete alternative options whenever you choose, in order to receive a certificate of completion.
