START YOUR G&T EDUCATION JOURNEY HERE!
This free introduction module offers an overview of the basics of understanding gifted and talented students. We will explore the definitions of 'giftedness' and 'talent', including Gagne's DMGT model and examine the characteristics of gifted students, including how they learn, develop and thrive.
We will also look at their complexities and quirks, and the possible impact of these on their learning, development and wellbeing, including introducing local and international resources you can access for further information and research. If you are a teacher or parent who is new to the world of gifted and talented, this module is the place to start!
This module is approximately 2 hours in length, including video content, workbook, additional resources and access to the presenter, Kylie Bice. The module is open all year so you can sign up at any time. You can complete the theory components of the module at your own time and pace, and options are available to apply your knowledge in practice, in order to receive a certificate of completion.
